The MOON

WORKSHOP MUSEUM OF NARRATIVE OBJECTS

Is a project conceived by the Cultural Association The moon on a leash, center for sustainable education recongnized by Basilicta Region, and the Social Cooperative il Salone dei Rifiutati (Saloon of rejected objects), in the hold buildig of wholesale of toys, in suburbs of Potenza city.

It is a space open to the community, born to welcome temporary exhibitions, artistic productions, workshops, residences and seminars and learning projects for schools ad social operators.

The MOON bears in its name the will to create opportunities for encounter and amazement through creative processes that see everyday objects and their possible stories, between familiarity and creativity.

In order to promote sustainable development through art and beauty, MOON offers spaces and services to ssoications, professionists, schools, public stakeholders, cultural and educational sectors and opens up its spaces and exhibitions in order to organize educational programs and network activities based on different needs.MOON is a Cultural Center that offers its own spaces for events, meetings, co-working, consulting and design for network projects.

HUB spaces

Project room

A fab-lab where design and build innovative ideas, instruments, installations, interactive exhibitions with a technical, creative and specialized assistance in the fielsds of art and techological applications, about augmented reality and cultural issue. There is the possibility to use a white wide screen for presentations and learnign projects.

Exhibition-room

An open space where is possible to show exhibitions and live events, with a complete sound service.

Atelier of waste materials

A Waste Material emporium where waste material as a resource is promoted, and where those who enter find such material, but also suggestions, sensations, curiosities, fun, emotions, cooperation opportunities and unexpected encounters.The materials in the Emporium, adequately collected, exhibited and readily available for users are the scrap and swarf of industrial production, or mistakes and remainders left in company warehouses, no longer sellable, that companies have provided to MOON for free.

Office

An office where is possible to work with laptop, wifi for free and print or scan documents.

Apartment

A comfortable apartment for creative residences, with a independent kitchen, a wide living room for 10 peole, a private bathroom and a larg open space with desk, one single bed and one double bed.
